Play DVD on win2k is croppy with Marvel G400

Does anyone know how to play smoothly dvd Movies on win2k. On win98 is does.

What is the trick ?
My system is :
PIII-500
256 Mb
4Gb free Scsi HD
marvel G400 (great card, but not in win2k= it sucks :-(

Be sure to make sure you have DMA enabled for your dvd drive. Go to the device manager and check the properties under the controller and make sure its set to 'DMA if available' win2k defaults to DMA off for cd-rom and dvd drives..

I personally have no problems myself using the G400 on my celeron 450 under windows 2k. If you already have DMA on or it doesn't fix it try using a different player or a newer version of what you have.

WinDVD 2k 2.1
