Sorry for being off-topic but maybe someone has a quick solution to my problem:

I have just recently installed the Matrox Software DVD Player (Ravisent) that comes with the Marvel G400, and although the movies play back smoothly on my PIII, I get jittery lines whenever there is movement in the picture.

Is there a way to get rid of this?

    Thanks

This might sound really perverse but have you tried an older version of the cinemaster player software?

I only ask as I've noticed this on a G400 also using the matrox branded version of the player(PIII 600), while an older PC running an original 266MHz celeron and an 8Mb G200 played same movies, on same drive (Pioneer slot loader) with none of the problems using the older unoptimized version of Cinemaster
(the ATI version with ATI hardware support disabled)

Seemed weird to me that the matrox optimised version could turn in worse results on a faster matrox card (with 4 times the video ram of its predeccessor)and a processor twice as fast but I guess thats what they call progress <g>

still the user was happy enough and I didnt have an installable version of the older player to hand so I didnt investigate further..
