      Hello.
The link you provided doesn't appear to be working for me...
      ...is it down temporaly?
Another wonderful person, black88mx6, has very kindly helped me with my RR-G after I upgraded to XP from Win98se.
I still can't seem to get the matrox remote button to appear, therefore I can't capture using the video tools.
I have tried using virtualdub but want to compare the results using the matrox remote.
Isit important to upgrade in the correct order?
I uninstalled the G400 drivers and video tools, then rebooted.
I then installed the new drivers (5.86.032), then after a reboot installed the video tools (vt_210a), another reboot and ran the macrovision patch (MV-vtools-2.10.010a-eng-2K-XP and finally the RR-G update to XP (2.10.010a.zip).
Everything is wonderful exept there is no record/capture facility?
Have I done something wrong, do I need specific codec's etc.?
      I am rather a novice!
      Many thanks,
      Will

Yes, the order of install is important, and I think you messed it up in the last step where it says you loaded 2.10.010a.zip.

I installed as your post suggested:
          1) G400 drivers
          2) Video Tools
          3) Macrovision Patch
          4) RR-G XP Patch.
          Is this not correct?
Your original post was as follows:
          ...
          Video Drivers 5.86 (5.86.032) ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archiv...02/2kxp_586.exe
          VT version vt_210a (2.10.010a) ftp://ftp.matrox.com/pub/mga/archiv...001/vt_210a.exe
          MV-vtools-2.10.010a-eng-2K-XP (disables macrovision) http://forums.murc.ws/attac...=&postid=233142
rr update for 2.10.010a.zip (patches for XP) http://trancexx.myip.org/matrox/sof...r 2.10.010a.zip
          ...
The (4) step I carried out was the RR-G XP patch...2.10..010a.zip

Sorry, looking at it again it seems right. Not sure why you don't have a record option. Will check mine again when I get home tonight.

My PC-VCR does have the red button for record. Not sure why yours does not except that some of the files may not of been replaced durring the last patch, as that is what did it for me.
