So far I think there is Nicram's RRG patch and Adis's Marvel Patch for XP (no red button) - but not one for the RRS Mystique for 2K AFAIK....
I think you might be more successfull with a setup for XP now - 2K was an interim package...XP will be 'round for a few year - like 98SE....
I have VT 02.04.15 with REC button (VT 02.04.15b).
It's not uploaded on my site but it will be very soon.
I think it works better than 2.10.010a with patches.

BTW i have VT 2.10.010b (one file installation).
    It's 2.10.010a with integrated patches.

    • YEs - But Adis.....

AFAIK & understand - your patches are for the Marvel - not the RRG Series....
      Please confirm.

      • 02.04.15b - maked for G400-TV but i think it works with rr normally, not tried
2.10.010b - maked for G400-TV and RR, works fine for both

Both are one file installation, no additional patches needed.

        • Anything more on this thread guys?

Just wondering if Nircam and Adis have gottne together and collaborated a neat set of drivers that dont have too many bugs.

Currently I have a dual boot WinXP/98SE setup and cant get neither to be very stable.

          98
Bin using 98SE for years and was always stable before dual boot.
now I get "Class file not registered" for MJPEG's, so I have to massage them in WinXP. Found a similar message in another codec I installed and could be a registery corruption.

          XP
XP doesnt want to record for more than 300MB otherwise I get a "file error" when I try to scrub past the 300MB limit. That is for low and high res movies....what can I say ...close but no cigar!

          • Is there the same error with NTFS partitions ? With XP ofcou5rs ???
A CRAY is the only computer that runs an endless loop in just 4 hours...

                Which drivers are installed?
Which software is used for capturing?

                • I bought My Rainbow Runner Studio + Millenium II video card and at that time my PC was not powerfull enough so I had tons of Audio Synching problems and Matrox Support couldnt help me got e-mail about it somewhere here.

Anyways recently I slapped together a PIII System with Win98SE and out of curiosity decided to put the video+RR back together and to my surprise got some good results. However I ran into the 2-4 GIG Limit for AVI Files which there is a lot of miss-understanding and confusion on the subjet..I'll leave that for another thread.

So I decided to look for Window2000 drivers and ended up here and it looks like it will either never come to light.

I found a software to get around the limitation. Its called "VirtualDUB" once your 2-4 GB File is full it will create another 2-4GB File and treat them as a single video.

Than you can edit/cut and encode your final result into any type of format you'd like i.e. Divx / Mpeg.

I dual boot my System with Win98SE and 2000 anyway so its just a matter or rebooting when I need to do any kind of video capture.

                          • …I have RRG & Mystique G200 set… there are almost no problems with capture and playback under Windows Millenium… I can capture with hardware Matrox Mjpeg or other software codecs using Matrox YUY2 (Morgan, Huffyuv, PicVideo, etc.) almost without drops (depends on tape quality)… but there are some questions:

                            1. the question is about RRG capture right field order … in one cases, it seems that it captures with A field first (according to TMPGenc field judging results), in another cases – B field (due to Matrox readme, it must capture with B field first)… but I'm not sure… is there any other way (program) to define it?... is it possible, that this parameter may change (also during a single capture process)?

                            2. but the main problem is RRG wrong work under XP… the fact is the major problem of Windows 9x family is instability… that's the reason because of I decided to install XP as a second OS for editing, converting and such things though I knew that XP doesn't support RRG… then I saw this topic and it gave me the real hope that it's not true… I downloaded VT 2.10.010a, Adis's patch and Nicram's upgrade for it.… When I installed Adis's patch (in case of Nicram's upgrade there occurs problem with "rrMjpeg.ax" registering), it became possible to record in PC-VCR (appeared red button and recording settings) using hardware mjpeg compression… but the quality of played back files is very poor – only 14-17 fps (Media Player 6.4) and no interlacing (unlike in Win Me case)… as for YUY2 capture, I use YUY2W2K.EXE file (for W2k), which enables YUY2 radio button during it is in memory… but when I try to capture something, system crashes (screen freezes)… have any idea?
