    Hello folks,

I'm experiencing a funny thing with my G400Max+RRG under Win98 with the latest Powerdesk, VT 1.52 and the latest media player (not beta).
If I open Matrox PC VCR, I do a capture and then I look at the file I just captured before closing PC-VCR the avi plays back at the correct size (ie a 352x288 is 352x288 pixel wide on my screen) but if I close PC-VCR then it looks twice as big! :-)
Is this a new and secret fractal image expansion algorythm of some sort or what? :-)

Any ideas of what might be wrong (if something *is* wrong, I just never noticed this before)?

Yes, I see the same thing: capture in PC-VCR at 352x240 in MJPEG,
looks correct in PC-VCR but Media Player does it at
double size. Our computers are possessed by Redmond demons. Even weirder,
    when I capture 352x480 there's no telling how it's
going to display; sometimes it gets expanded horizontally
    sometimes it's double-height.
"Ah feel yore payn." as our President would say...
I don't care, as long as it looks right when I get it
    compressed to MPEG I'm happy.

I think Media Player asks the Matrox driver what size the video is, and that the driver always reports full size. It's a guess.
