  • Ulead Mediastudio files are not opening in Ulead Movie Factory and NERO

Dear folks, I am at the end of my knowledge I use a G400 Marvel Ulead Mediastudio 6.5. and Ulead Movie Factory. In the past these worked flawless together I edited a film created a MPG2 file and burned it on Movie Factory or NERO into a SVCD. Now, I always get an error message "file contains no movie or audio data" However the movie plays well in all players incl. the VT1.55
I learned that this is due to a codec problem. I have deleted all video codecs except two RRI* as I guessed they are for the G400 capture. I red it could be due to Video for Windows installation. But I do not find how to install or deinstall or update. I deinstalled all Ulead programs already and blanked the registry for all entries with "Ulead" I deleted all old folders and reinstalled, no effect. I am absolutely stuck. Your help is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you applied the CD/DVD burning patch? Among other things it's meant to improve MPEG compatability.

Have you tried re-installing the Matrox PD and VT, after fully uninstalling them (including the registry)? I'm only guessing, but you may have deleted, in your zeal to eliminate excess codecs, some file essential for the translation from the Matrox hardware MJPEG to other formats.

Brian, thanks for your post. Indeed I mused from the identification of the prob, if the problem did not arise from my update to VT155 and the new PD. As this was one of the things being changed since the period it worked flawless. I might remove the VT and see what happens. I dont think the PD has an influence?
