mjpeg codecs how do you install?

Hi I am soon going to replace my Marvel g200 with something more up todate. I have a lot of unedited avi files which have been created through the marvel with the mjpeg codec. My problem is : will I still be able to edit/play my files without the g200 installed. If not, how do I install the mjpeg codec and where do I get the codec from?

Get the PICVideo software MJPeg codec.

It can read and write Matrox compatable MJPeg files. I use quality setting 19 to get equivalent results. $18 for the non-commercial version and worth every damned penny.

If I remember correctly, the full versio nis the demo version with a watermark or something. Register the same version and it removes the watermark. It may be a timelimit or quality setting too, I can't remember for sure.
