  • Old RRS vs G-series RRS

Are there any or a big performance difference between the old RRS (For the Millenium II) and the new for the G200 and G400?

Any reason to not get the old one?
    Are the TV-out any good?

    It says about the oldie:
Matrox Rainbow Runner must be used with Windows 95®

Does this mean that it won't run on W98?

    Thanks

The RRS has pretty darned respectable video capture quality, but requires a separate TV tuner addon card and the Mil-II is pretty dated.

Having the all-in-one of the Marvel or RR-G is a plus. As is the availability of new drivers. There hasn't been a RRS driver update in ages, and likely there won't be any. That's something to think about. That said my wife had a RRS/Mystique running under Win98SE until she got her Marvel G400-TV.

I prefer the Marvel G400-TV of todays products, but who knows what the future may bring?
