DVD ripping for dummies

Any suggestions / help would be appreciated.


My specs:

Athlon XP 1800
1GB RAM
Asus DVD (Flashed to RPC-1) - Drive letter: E
Plextor CD-R - Drive letter: D
HDD: Maxtor 740D 80GB - Drive letter: H


I tried a few program packs I'v downloaded @ www.digital-digest.com but for some reason, the Divx encoder didn't start and gave me an error about not finding log file and then an error about some calls (don't remember exactly).

imho http://doom9.org has the best guides and software, hint: dont go for 1 click solutions.
