To the author of murc forums and members? what about makin an irc channel?
What i was really getting at is (as i am sure you realise), I know that for instance Haig and I are about 6 - 8 hours adrift - Canada to UK. And I am sure a lot of you are even further afield. This could make 'Live' chat a bit of a problem, unless we all chat local (sad), or set our alarms for the middle of the night etc.
NOW I understand why you like D8 !!! We here are at GMT+3: you are at GMT-8, -9 or whatever. You guys are simply backwards (Just joking, I really like you - I think)
Now, now Brian. I'm not quite ready for a cyber-hug just yet.
Yes, I'm at GMT-8. So is Bill Gates. He's just across the border and down the highway a bit from here. This "backwards" time zone hasn't hurt his ability to make a few bucks!
Who's this Bill Gates you mention? Does he work for Sun Microsystems?
Actually, for the anecdote, where he works is exactly half way between Vancouver and Vancouver. The last time I was in Redmond (last November) I couldn't even see the MS 'campus' or, to give it its real designation, premises because it was raining so hard.

Brian, I'm sure you've totally confused 99.999% of the forum members reading your last post with your reference to Redmond being exactly half way between Vancouver and Vancouver!
OK, if you belong to the 99.999%, there happen to be two Vancouvers. One is a small township n km south of Redmond WA and the other is a slightly larger township n km north of Redmond WA, over the border, up Canada way. I forget the exact value of n.
BTW, I know the area reasonably well, having had dealings with a small organisation called The Boeing Company, for whom one of my best friends works. I love the Cascades behind Seattle when I can dodge the raindrops.
Vancouver BC is a "slightly larger township" is it? Elie will enjoy hearing that.
I know you're just joking Brian, but this reminds me of a broadcast on ABC sports in the States about 15 years or so ago. I believe it was Jim McKay(?) who referred to Vancouver BC (with a population of one million people) as a "village". What a moron...
