Marvel g200 locks vidtools

I have a marvel g200 + a g400 marvel. I'm trying to use the g200 in a spare win98se machine but with any drivers other than the original cdrom, after installation the pc locks up when I try to use pcvcr or quick connect. I want to use Version 1.52 (and try the yuy2 patch) and the blurb says these drivers are compatible but I jut get a locked up PC.. Any ideas?
