  • G400-TV + Premiere 6 + Win2K = Good Idea?

    Hey All,

Forum newbie here with hopefully not so much of a newbie question. I've been working with my G400-TV using Avid Cinema (yes, difficult) on Win98 for a while. The system is getting to the flakey point of it's existance when a good format and reinstall is in order.

Question is: Should I upgrade to Premiere 6 and Win2K or will there be problems getting the thing to hardware MJPEG capture (that silly macrovision thing interfering with normal home video capturing)?

Thanks in advance for your help!! ^_^

Upgrade to Win2K / Premiere 6 (and everything will be fine with the right "patches"...)

If you wish to use your G-400, which is obsolescent, stick with WIN98SE. If you wish a better editor, forget Premiere and go for Ulead MS Pro.

Ideal solution: dual boot W2k AND W98SSE. Use the latter for capturing and the former for everything else.
