  • Fast Track 66 MB

    I have a Athlon650 on a MSI 6167 MB.
I have a Marvel G400-TV, sblive value, and
    a fasttrack66 raid card.
I get busnoise when I capture.
I've called up promise and after many hours we have basically narrowed down the the MB.
or the chipset on the MB.

If anyone has been able to capture video using a fasttack66, athlon, and the marvelg400tv, please tell me what MB you are using.

    Enrico Ng,

I have a problem with bus noise as well using an Intel PIII. The only way I managed to get around it was to set the Stripe Block down all the way to 1Kb. This impacts RAID performance . . .

Do you have a Via chipset? I think that may be the problem - not the motherboard. Of course I'll have to replace my motherboard to get rid of the Via chipset . . .

    Computer configuration:

    P3 733
    Soltek SL-65VF+ MB
    Via Apollo Pro133 VT82C693A chipset
    384 Mb RAM
Maxtor 27 Gb Hard Drive ATA66 on primary IDE controller
ASUS CD ROM ATA33 on secondary IDE controller
    Win98SE
Matrox Millennium G400 Max Dual Head - English - AGP
    Primary Monitor Viewsonic P810
    Extended Monitor MAG Innovision MX17F
Matrox RR G series - PCI
Adaptec 2902E SCSI card - PCI
Microtek Scan Maker X6EL Scanner SCSI
YAMAHA CRW4416SX CD ROM (R-W) SCSI
    Promise Fasttrak 66 - PCI
Maxtor 14 Gb Hard Drive ATA66
Maxtor 14 Gb Hard Drive ATA66
Creative Sound Blaster AWE64 on ISA Bus
Parallel port card on ISA Bus
Wacom Art ZII tablet - Serial port

I-Omega Zip - On parallel port
HP 4P LaserJet Printer - On parallel port

The MSI-6167 has an AMD 750 chipset, not VIA.
