A New Breakout Box?

I was wondering, is it possible for Matrox to make a new breakout box that takes component video, or is this something that must be changed on the actual card?

I would assume it could be done, but would require a redesign to the BOB (and a software/driver tweak). I am not sure about the actual video card though. It could probably be done without any changes to the card itself, but they would have to do something to the video signal to allow the data to pass through prexisting cable format that they use. I couldn't tell without knowing what the specifc differences between Component, Composite, and S-Video signals are.

Of course the real problem is that it would cost money to do, and there probably is not a big enough market for it.

As far as I know, the existing box can only OUTPUT component video. Search this forum for a cable description.
