  • Bob and pc skeakers ?

What is the normal way to hook up your pc speakers when you have a marvel g400 in the system. I thought it would be a good ideer to connect the speakers to the bob with a homemade mini jack stereo to 2 mono phono cable. I made the connection, but i cant get the normal windows sounds through the bob.
The manual doesn`t mention anything about this, but i guess we all have some kind of speakers standing beside the conputer. So please help if you can.

I have an audio card with 4 ports: speaker, line in, line out and microphone. The speakers get connected to this and the BOB's audio out's go to my SVHS deck.

        Ewww....SBUn-Dead...don't like those

You could use a "Y" splitter on the line out to split the signal between the speakers and the Marvel's cable. You can get these at Radio Shack or most stereo shops for a few dollars.

Just make sure you don't set the volume too high on the speaker (20% or so max) or you'll over-drive it. This could blow either the speakers or the speakers built-in amp. Set the volume with the mixer.

Sometimes the BOB causes audio AND video problems. So I bypassed the BOBs audio. Now, I get louder audio out and the most of switching trouble, even video, is eliminated by this.
I planed to build an external switch box for the audio, but havent time, yet.

Simple if you use SB Live! (sorry, Doc; I know you have an allergy to those words). You connect your speakers to the Front speaker jack and the BOB to the Rear speaker jack and the Line Input. The driver software allows you to preset a configuration for each job you do, so that you hear what you want to hear when you want, send a signal to video out when you want and so on. No wiring problems and the signal levels are all compatible.
