Price for 2nd Hand TRV D8

Could someone estimate what would be the average price for a 2nd hand Sony D8 7000 or 110. I am thinking about getting one to edit alot of Hi8 tapes

Camcorders are pretty fragile, and heads do wear out, so I'd not consider one for over about half of what that model (or its replacement) is selling for new unless you have good knowledge of its history.

I paid $630 on the WEB (FOCUS Camera) when I got mine about two years ago.
