I only use Premiere with my Marvel G200, despite what most people say on this board.
It's not officially supported, but it works a lot better than Media Studio (which I did give a serious try) for me. There are a few quirks - I have to be careful about using the source monitor, but everything in the timeline is lightning fast compared to Media Studio. And the interface is closest to the Avid Film Composer which I used at school.
I'm just waiting for Premiere 6 to support MPEG2 on the timeline...

I can sympathise with you Dishon... I couldn't get *any* video onto tape from Premiere except the audio, even though I added the Prem50.ini file in the same directory as Premiere.exe which is the advice most give with Premiere/G200 problems. I'm now exporting my video with an MPEG encoder plug-in and hope to print to tape directly from PC-VCR remote (sigh).
Like I mentioned before, I have had a problem with the source window. Sometimes when I play a clip, I am not able to stop it - so it plays all the way out, which is very annoying.
Another issue to consider is that I think Premiere is supposed to use Quicktime 3.0 (on the Premiere disk) and you may have trouble with Quicktime 4+.
For my video editing system, I still use the old 4.26 drivers, because they are stable and give me the best control over Video IN/OUT. I have a seperate partition/system with more recent drivers for non-video editing work.

Forgive me for barging in on your thread Dushon, but I'd like to ask cjyo~ whether he fares better using Quicktime with Premiere/Marvel rather than using AVIs?
No, I don't really work with quicktimes, just Matrox MJPEG (sometimes PICVideo MJPEG).
I was told once that the Marvel, Premiere and QT 4.1 don't neccessarily get along well. I assumed that Premiere uses Quicktime for the source/output windows or something do do with its' functionailty, even if you are not editing in QT format. I'm not sure though.

I've just discovered that Premiere is working on my system after-all. I feel like a dill but until the other day I was just bringing the VCR into our computer lab to experiment with printing to tape from Premiere. I thought I'd review the results with PC-VCR Remote. Though I could hear sound I couldn't see a picture so I just thought Premiere wasn't working with the Marvel. Anywayz, out of curiosity I took the VCR back to the lounge and hooked it up to the TV and lo, the video was there! I've done nothing special other than introducing the prem50.ini file to the same directory as Premiere.exe lives in. Obviously, I need to work on what I'm doing wrong in PC-VCR Remote but it looks like I'm going to happily work with Premiere and the G200.
I hope some of this helps.
Frank.
