I visited MCSi in Dallas just today to pick up some equipment, when I noticed right across from the shipping room a room with three Media 100 suites: one Macintosh, 2 NT's.
So I sneaked up to the guy editing on the Mac and asked him what made the Media 100 $50,000 and the DigiSuite $8,000. He never did successfully convince me there was much of a difference at all, except that Media 100 writes their own editing software, and it's QuickTime-based (the guy kept touting that QuickTime pretty much blew AVI away, which meant to me that he wasn't really key on the nuts and bolts here).
Anyone wanna fill me in on the differences?
