  • FX in "The Ring"

    Hi,

I saw the movie "The Ring" over the weekend. Besides being a great movie, there is an interesting set of fx. The "video tape" that is a key part of the movie has some really odd looking effects. In particular, the scene where the woman is combing her hair. It has a very ominous look to it (probably to give that mental imagining effect).

Has anyone else seen this? If so, any thought on how to recreate it?

    Thanks

my guess is that you kill a creepy little girl, throw her down a well...place a tv/vcr combo above it ....and wait
