I'm considering a Tbird system and was wondering how it compares to PIII when encoding MPEG?

2+2=5 - but only for extremly large values of 2.As I always say: You can get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than you can with just a kind word.
My beloved Parhelia was twotiming with Dan Wood - now she's gone forever and all I got is this lousy T-shirt

I don't have a T'bird, but I tested a PIII 800EB vs a 'classic' Athlon 900 a while ago, and the Athlon was 2 seconds quicker when encoding a 2 minute 352x288 AVI to VideoCD MPEG-1.
So basically I doubt there is much difference in speed between a CuMine PIII and a T'Bird Athlon of equivalent speed.
