  • How does Thunderbird compare with PIII in Panasonic MPEG encoding speed?

I'm considering a Tbird system and was wondering how it compares to PIII when encoding MPEG?

      I don't have a T'bird, but I tested a PIII 800EB vs a 'classic' Athlon 900 a while ago, and the Athlon was 2 seconds quicker when encoding a 2 minute 352x288 AVI to VideoCD MPEG-1.

So basically I doubt there is much difference in speed between a CuMine PIII and a T'Bird Athlon of equivalent speed.

I really don't know if it is relevant, but the T-bird is very much faster in mp3-encoding and CAD150.
