I have created some animations for a PowerPoint presentation and the best size and resolution is 800x600.
Now PowerPoint does not like MPEG4, Quicktime etc and this size makes files too big using cinepak, indeo etc.
I have tried changing the resolution to 352x288 and 320x240 and using MPEG1, which work fine, but as there a lot of words, newspapaer clippings etc the reduction reduces quality too low.
Therefore MPEG1 @ 800x600 looks best. However, some computers play this fine, and others try and download a "codec" for it.
I remember reading something about MPEG1 non standard sizes being a problem but I can get it to play fine on some PCs, so there must be something to install or trick media player.
How can I ensure media player plays non standard MPEG1s?
