I really tried to buy an Athelon notebook. Seems nobody has one with better than XGA (1024x768) display :-(

Until this changes Athelons are always going to be limited to price/performance junkies and the "buy the cheapest" folks.

IMHO the CPU is the least important part of a notebook -- its what you don't have to give up compared to your desktop at a given weight and battery life that really matters. OTOH basic 7-8lb laptops have gotten cheap and powerfull enough that lots of people are getting these instead of desktops to save space. Athelons should do well in this market.
