It looks like HT gives MPEG2 encoding a good boost.
One for me, as soon as the price drops.

Hyperthreading IS nice on the new P4...for video editing anyway.

However, for the PRICE, I'd go with a dual Athlon setup before I would go with a 3Ghz P4. You'll get better performance for less $.
