  • Videostudio 4.01 patch caused mpeg I audio not to render on my systems

I have two video editing computers. One with a Matrox Marvel G400TV video card and one with an ATI AIW.

On both of these systems installing the Videostudio 4.01 patch caused the sound not to work when rendering mpeg I projects. Strangly, this also caused sound not to work when using my Panasonic stand-alone mpeg I encoder. After uninstalling VideoStudio 4.0 and reinstalling without the patch the sound output rendered correctly.

Just thought I might be able to save some other VideoStudio owners some hassles.

Anyone know why this would happen? Also, are there some workarounds when a project stops rendering because of a "unreadable frame?" Any utilities to fix these types of frames?
