MSPro 6.51a/6.52 pulsating MPEG w/VBR.....

If you are having problems with visible pulsations and other quality issues using VBR, particularly with;

1. bitrates below ~6000 kbps

2. image file slideshows

please download the following *.zip and replace the following files in c:\program files\common files\Ulead Systems\MPEG\ with its contents;

MPGVOUT.000
MPGVOUT.001
MPGVOUT.002
MPGVOUT.003
MPGVOUT.004
MPGVOUT.DLL

MPGVOUT files......

Please reboot before running a Ulead program that will use MPEG.now to create MPEG's.

Also: some systems will not have the MPGVOUT.000 file in this folder. It's OK, just copy it in anyhow.

On the Ulead site there are 2 recent patches namely:

MediaStudio Pro 6.5 MPEG.Now Enhance Patch
MPEG.Now Patch (Build Number: 6.51a)

Are these improved 6.51a versions ?

The correct thing to do is to apply first the 6.51a patch then the Enhanced Patch.

IF you are having quality issues with VBR encode an MPEG that shows the problem then copy these files into the path indicated and try again. Compare the files and see if anything changes.
