  • Speck of dust inside lens...

Is there a way to use static electricity to remove specks of dust from inside of the camera lens?

Are all Sony camcorder lenses easily accessible without taking apart the entire camera?

Do you mean the lens or the viewfinder. A speck in the lens won't affect the picture unless its fairly large. I wouldn't recommend trying to disassemble the lens, your likely to get more stuff into it. It also has to be put back together with the motors properly aligned or else focus and/or zoom won't function.
If its in the viewfinder simply remove the nonmagnetic silver screw from the viewfinder. The press the lever the screw held in place and rotate the viewfinder about a 1/4" and pull it off.

It's on the other side of the CCD's lens...
      Itty bitty, though...
It'd be crappy if it were big enough to affect autofocus!

Leave well alone. A small speck or two of dust will make NO noticeable difference, when you take into consideration the poor lens quality of most camcorder lenses (they don't have to be much better to resolve a few hundred pixels!)
