Can't apply any Patches to Ver 6.5 - PLEASE HELP!!

Hi all.

I have install Media Studio Pro 6.5 on Win XP.

When I try to update any of the patches.
Such as the patch to 6.51a.(MSP65PowerPatch_E)
I get this message
"MEDIA STUDIO PRO 6 WAS NOT FOUND ON YOUR COMPUTER. THE INSTALLATION PROCESS CAN NOT CONTINUE"

What's the deal, this patch isn't even for ver 6.
Can anyone please give me a solution.

Is it a trial version? If so, it will not upgrade.

Is there any way around this as it is hard to evaluate a program that has bugs in it.

I think NOT. They expect you to evaluate the software as is. The patches and updates only work with full versions.
