DrP, what OS are you using. I haven't got a 'preffered video standard' registry entry in win 2000. I tried the dword set to 0 in the string advised by virtualdub, and it still doesn't work! Tried it with, freevcr, virtual vcr, Iu VCR, my Media Studio Pro 6.5 capture, virtual dub (what version do you use). I either get asoftware crash, or the device is already in use or other errors. Which drivers do you use? If it's the cinergy maybe terratec have got around the problem.

Using XP, but the value names will be the same for W2k and 9x. Try looking for AudioEnabled, AudioTunerEnabled, CompositeEnabled, Alpha clip, VBI Sampling Frequency . I'd be very supprised if you didn't have any of those values. I am using the flyvideo 20.51 driver. Both the terratec and flyvideo drivers are using the standard drivers from Philips (differnet versions, but the reg entries are the same).@DrP #Windows95 DALnet
