    just to make sure: I was not criticising your tcleaner filter, on the contrary. I really appreciate that there is people like you who want to put their skills and tools available to other people, without even asking money for it. I don't really know much about all those filter techniques (though I have some idea how I think they work). I did not try to change the treshhold value, which shows how much I know about it ;-) Apparently I should try...
    About the place where to put the filter: I have not experimented but to me it appears logic to put at the first place, since there is your original, 'pure' signal. You do not need a deinterlaced signal, and I suppose the other filters in the queue could only benefit from the reduced noice.
