    If you group Aa and Ab into Group1 their Pan, Volume, Mute and Solo settings would work together. Examples;

If you are in group view there would be one set of controls that would adjust Volume, Pan, Mute and Solo for all tracks in Group1 as it plays.

If you are in track view each track would have its own Volume, Pan, Mute and Solo controls, but those controls for tracks within Group1 would move/switch together as it plays.

So....if I understand you right they would be submixes.

Yes, they behave like normal submixes on a mixing console. That's great. If Ulead adds the ability to chain direct x plug-in's we'd have a great multitrack mixer. Maybe next time...

You can add multiple Dx filters, but you have to add and adjust them for each group member separately.

I'm presuming what you would like is the ability to add an audio filter to a mixer group instead of just a single track?

        Sounds like a good idea....

The ability to put an effect on the group (submix) is nice and it conserves cpu power.

What I was talking about is the ability to adjust a plug-in filter in real-time so you don't have to adjust the plug-in, listen, re-adjust, listen, etc... To adjust on the fly is one of the reasons VV is so good with audio.

                Fred,

This is an old joke. Similar jokes were made back in school days.

Thanks guys. Thanks for the boost of confidence and understanding. The frustrating part is trying to get through to the executive postitions in a organisation with substantial size.

                  Jack,
For a newborn al jocks are new.
I am 66, and just received this via e-mail so I’m “newborn”
Or, am I too old to remember the school time?
However, it was funny for me, and it was not my intention to hurt somebody. Not you.
                  My apology to you…
                  Regards
                  Fred H

                    Fred,

                    No need to apologise.

I am quite used to it.

                    No harm done in anyway.

It has been quite some time since last heard of this joke.

                    Jack

Just helping out with the humor here. We can all use some laughs.

Here's another one, how funny is it every time you see "the Great Stainmaker" showing his face! Now that's funny!!! After the last eight years, if he had any dignity he'd crawl into a sewer and disappear.

Or that fake, phony, fraud peanut farmer getting the Nobel Peace prize for helping Korea create fissionable material, with the help of "the Great Stainmaker," of course.

                          Funny stuff, huh?

If you guys have the budget, what you need is Nuendo which covers all what you are asking plus a heck of a lot more. There are alot of high end vst's out there that can really sweeten up your audio tracks.

                            Ciao
