  • MS Pro 7 can't handle compressed *.tif images?

I finally got the MS Pro 7 trial installed.

It seems as though there is a problem with this version handling compressed tif image files (LZW compression). I opened up a 6.5 project I've been working on and the images wouldn't work unless I saved them in an uncompressed format.

    Am I missing something here.

One other thing. If you type some text in the text editor and select to have it centered, it doesn't seem to appear in the center of the preview window?

I'm still having a look around. The whole performance slider thing, RT preview is making me yearn for a 3.06HT.

Also, how do you get rolling titles?

    hi
Ref rolling titles : I also had a problem finding them. John Price answered my question. Choose titles - animation "fly" - scroll to the end voila

IMHO, it is better to evaluate MSP7 with ad hoc files for the testing rather than to try and import a 6.5 dvp file. It is possible to have behavourial changes, especially on titling.

I haven't tried compressed TIF, so can't respond there.

I agree that rolling titles is not intuitive: I had to ask as well when I first saw MSP7 a few months ago. This could be better explained in the manual.

LZW compression is not readable by MS Pro 7.

Pack bit IS readable by MS Pro 7.

        Thanks for the help guys.

          Hey guys,

Trial version does not include the support of .tif

This has to do with license issue.

It is included in the full version, of course.

Yup. I've been using LZW *.tif's with the beta since day one. No trouble at all.
