G400 Marvel MJPEG codec
I'm trying to resolve an issue with my current video capture/editing setup and would appreciate it if someone could refresh my memory on the following points.
When playing back a marvel hardware MJPEG encoded avi file is the hardware codec being used for playback?
If a hardware MJPEG avi file is recompressed with the Matrox MJPEG codec in Virtualdub is playback of the recompressed file via the Matrox software codec or is the marvel hardware involved?
My appologies to all if these questions seem simplistic but I'd really like to get to the bottom of my system troubles and I think I'm close to identifying the problem now.
