    Lead on and congratulations sergiovalentino!!

I am quite interested in eventually getting my camcorder material onto my pc without the stupid Macrovision implimentaion telling me I can not copy my own source material!

I trust Chris will fascilitate the post on the download section once your offer is seen, and will post a reply to that effect once its done.

On a tangent - Anybody - Please do Not post this info on the Matrox user forum - the guys there believe their Macrovision implimentation to be sacred and will through the book at you!

                  HI Sergio,

Sorry about the delay in posting - living in 2 places has it's drawbacks. I got your email this evening, and the patch will be up on the site in the next couple of days.

                    Congratulatios sergiovalentino

Works like a dream under PCVCR.

Does ot seem to be willing to talk to Wincap32,AVI_IO,Virtualdub or MSP6 capture - but for the meantime my problem has been solved.

Lets hope your devious little mind will be able to dream up something equally impressive for the real drivers once they get released!

                      Hi Lawrence,
I am happy for this, however I can say you that for me too only pcvcr works , with or without crack, any application that tries to use the driver of capture sends the system in crash (blue screen), also in premiere, i have black monitor, while move edit line in timeline. This doesn't happen without video tools using Millenium non beta drivers with Morgan mjpg codec (just for editing not capture).
                      N.B.:i have Service Pack 1
As far as it concerns the final drivers it is Matrox that must worry for the ugly figure that is doing, four months of beta drivers!!!

                        Good news man

Removed all drivers and reinstalled from fresh, applied fix and there you have it - no more Macrovion while using anything

PcVCR,AVI_IO,Virtualdub and MSP6 capture now all seems happy.

Suspect the BSOD when closing any non PCVCR capturing utility screwed things up.

                        Once again thanks

                          hi Lawrence
I've read and I'll make it soon, but can you explain me what is BSOD?
However, as far it concerns the problems in premiere as above, i fixed in this way:

                          1) install Morgan mjpg (setup win 9X)
                          2)Enable decompression
3)User fourcc type mjpg not dbm1
                          4)Reboot

                          Here is another problem:
Sometime capturing long video such as film, i get, from a certain point in then, totally black frame, just only audio is ok.

                          regards

                          sergio valentino

BSOD = Blue screen of death (same as your blue screen when when machine crash - Microsoft Windows trademark when things go wrong)

Fortunately? I have not experienced the black screen problem and I am also not using Premiere anymore.

Maybe somebody else can suggest a sollution

                            Regards

                              Dear all,

I have Win2K Prof with a Intel VC820 motherboard (without the Memory Translator Hub problems), a Marvel G400-TV card connected to a Viewsonic G810-2 monitor, and a Toshiba SD-M1302 (with DMA enabled in Win2K). Drivers-wise, I'm using the beta Win2K drivers issued on 28apr00. I'm running the Matrox DVD player that came with the card. I watch the DVD's on the monitor, not on a TV set (why would I, when I have this nice crisp 21" monitor?).

I can watch the movies themselves, but if I want to use the root menu, I get "Macrovision 123" three times in the center of the DVD window surrounded by yellow and black lines. I can click various spots in this yellow and black forest and they activate whatever buttons are hidden beneath, but I would like to see what I am clicking.

I've read up on the Macrovision FAQ's on Digital Digest (I don't want to fool around with other decoders from some site where they may be laced with viruses or trojans), and anyway, they all seem to apply to watching movies through external equipment. I went a-hunting for the supposed crack for vtools beta that sergiovalentino built, but only found cracks for v1.52 and 1.54, and the 28apr00 beta drivers are v2.00.something.

                              Help? Anybody out there?

                              - Phil
