  • DVDMF2 Annoyance ?

I was looking to create a "play first" intro part for a DVD, and chose a 5 seconds scene out of a selected Mpeg2 file on the DVD. Two things :

    1) Using "extract video", the out-point is overshot by a couple of frames (half a second worth or so) when played back in the DVD-simulator. It comes to no surprise, the same thing's true for the burned project.

    2) The sound tends to cut of by about the same value prior to reaching the end frame.

Of course, this is quickly solved by creating a "play first" clip in MSP, but I was wondering if other people have seen this behaviour too ?

I'd be surprised if it didn't happen. You can "easily" edit mpeg only on GOP boundries which are generally 1 second in mpeg2. So on "average" you are going to be ~1/2 second off.

Same thing happens when you set chapter points.
