  • MSPro7 Patch immenent.....

Jack Hu at Ulead informs that the much anticipated first patch for MSPro7 should be available within a day or two for public beta.

Among the changes will be the auto-detection of dual CPU's, a fix for the audio drop issue, dualhead support for nVIDIA display cards and many others.

Because of the public beta of this patch users installing it will be requested to fill out a form documenting their results and mail it to Jack.

I will make the patch available on my webspace along with the changes list and public beta questionaire to facilitate forum user access.

I would add that the Print-to-Tape problem for **some** DVCAM and DV cameras has also been resolved. However, I should emphasise that Preview to camera (Normal or Instant View) will not start the tape recording on some devices. This is not felt to be a disadvantage because there is no real reason for this to be normally required. If it is, an easy workaround is to Print-to-Tape from the Timeline, Preview range only, which will do just the same.

** "some" because most cameras and many DVCAM devices work OK, anyway: this is for those that didn't.

I can verify that the 2:05 audio dropout problem has been completely resolved, as least on my system. That was a biggie.
