Hi,
I have a Matrox Mystique 220 Rainbow Runner Studio running in a Celeron 300 (o/c'd to 450), and I am trying to capture in RGB and process live with HuffYUV.
On a resolution of 352 x 576 (24bit) 25fps (PAL) which should be ~15MB/sec, I cannot get more than 12 frames/second (which is a data rate of ~7MB/sec raw). The strange thing is that in AV_IO it is not shown as dropped frames (I have not hit the buffer limit), but rather, it seems to be that the card cannot supply the data fast enough.
Have I reached the card's maximum data rate, or is there some other bottleneck in my system? The card seems to deliver video to my monitor in overlay mode without any problem (and I assume that is a raw feed, yes?) so I am not sure what is going on.
What is the maximum data rate anyone has achieved from a Mystique for RGB?
Lastly, does anyone know of a hack for the mystique to output YUV? I know that there is one for the G200.
Thanks,
Rob
