RT2000 v. DV500
i'm a newbie and haven't purchased any RT editing system yet. i was wondering if any of you had experience with either products and can give plus and minuses and your final picks! thanks so much in advance for the advice.

You could look at my Previews of both boards from about a year back. There is more real experience about now, but the previews will give you plenty of info about the capabilities of both boards.

This will be helpful, but a tad outdated.
Since TI wrote those reports the RT-2000 has gone through several enhancements, not the least of which is the public beta of the Matrox Video Tools 2.0 MEGA Pack. See the MURC mainpage, http://www.murc.ws for more info on this.
Also new is the Inscriber Title Express plugin (which is a great feature with over 160 editable broadcast quality title layouts), Pixelans SpiceRack LE (new to MVT 2.0 MEGA Pack) and a new version of DVDiT!.
