I don't believe you can install the s/w on a system that doesn't have a MARVEL / RR installed - but I am willing to be corrected here!
Both - you are capturing 1/2 frame - i.e full vertical resolution / 1/2 horizontal resoultion. In this resolution the MJPEG h/w restores the full size picture on playback. Try capturing full-frame - this should give 704/576 (PAL) and result in "un-squished" playback. You will need a disk system capable of about 3.5Mb/sec sustained write rate - but this should be no problems to systems bought in the last year or two.
