Premiere rt .x100 capture problem

Hi All,

I am a newbie and have been having problems with my system. I finally have everything installed and I still have problems with my capture. I ran the audio drift detector for the 15 minute setting. I didn't have the aardvark soundcard installed, just the santa cruz. I did have a hercules soundcard in for a day, but I unistalled its drivers and components before removing card. I have no conflicts in my device manager and it says everything is working fine.
When I capture from my svhs, I am using the 720x 480 setting for dvd. I think the audio is capturing at 48K . When I pull the file to the timeline, a 10 second clip becomes much longer. Am I doing something wrong? I'm capturing to matrox avi. Any suggestions would be helpfull as its driving me ( more) crazy. Thanks

I suggest you do the following..

1-capture to DV instead of M2V.
2-do a realtime export to disk in M2V format.

I know it's doubling the amount of work however it may offer a temporary solution.

Hooray, I think I finally figured out my last of many problems. Everything is installed correctly, but I was capturing audio at 48K and premeire was in 44.1. That was causing the synch problems. I captured a 2 hor mv2 file last night and tonight I will author and burn it , ....hopefully.
