  • G450 eTV Video Tools Problem

    Hardware Configuration:
    - Intel Pentium4 2.6C (800MHz FSB w/ HyperThreading)
    - Abit IC7-G (Intel i875p [Canterwood] chipset)
    - 512mb Kingston HyperX PC3500 ( 2x256 Dual Channel DDR)
    - Matrox G450 eTV
    Software Configuration:
    - WindowsXP SP1
    - Driver version 582
    - Video tools version 210a

I have a problem when running the video tools. First off, in order to even run the "Quick Connect" configuration utility, I must lower the desktop color depth to 16-bit. After that, I am able to configure and scan for channels. The channels are detected, and are previwed fine before the configuration gets to "Finish." But afterwards, when trying to actually run PC-VCR, I get an error that says "An unrecoverable error has occured. The application will be terminated."

I have tried lower CPU speed in accordance to the thread located .here : . I also tried disabling HyperThreading. Neither worked to solve the problem. Any help would be appreciated

Same Situation and no solution yet

I just upgraded my desktop PC from a:
    P4 / 1.7GHz
    640Mb RDRAM (800MHz)
    Intel D850Gb Desktop Board
    Matrox Marvel G400 TV
Windows XP Pro w/SP1 & all available updates
Latest BIOS version on both MoBo and Video Card
(Where it all worked just fine)

    to a:

    P4 / 2.6GHz (800MHz FSB) / Hyper-Threading active
    1Gb DDR 400MHz (Kingston KVR400X64C3/512 x 2)
    Intel D875PBZ Desktop Board
    Matrox Marvel G400 TV
Windows XP Pro w/SP1 & all available updates
Latest BIOS version on both MoBo and Video Card
    Matrox PowerDesk 5.88.061
    Matrox Video Tools 3.00

And now Quick Connect works great but when I try to run PC-VCR, I keep getting an "Unrecoverable Error":

    "An unrecoverable error has occured.
    The application will be terminated."

Please help!! I like my Matrox card and I don't want to throw it away.

Is there anyone able to help me?

    Thanks

      Hello!

      You need new Mtxcpuinfo.dll file.
      Go to

      and make a request.

        Thank you very much!

I'll do that. I've discovered that just renaming the original file works like a charm!
