Speaking of Fast Traks, I have a question..

When I try to install Win2000 with the FT33 already in the machine with 2 Maxtor 10 gig drives, Windows 2K is very sluggish and hangs at a certain point.

I guess it's a matter of drivers, I'll still play around with it a bit more, but if anyone has any idea's what to do, in this case...I'm all EYES!

As far as I know this is the first PnP failure in windows 2000. The fasttrack is misidentified as an Promise IDE controller and the raid won't work.

My experience is with the Fasttrack 66, but I believe the older model has the same problem. You need to download the w2k fasttrack drivers and then install them by deleting the misidentified fasttrack device and them rescan for new hardware and install the correct drivers.

Do you have it on the CUSL2?

Have you seen the boot device selection screen already?

I had some problems also with the FT33 in W2K, as the drives were independently identified at first, but after installing the drivers from Promise site it has been working fine.
