saddle up cookie, we're jumping on the bandwagon...yee haw.

Seriously it looks like a pretty feature packed suite, but we all know how that goes, a lot of good intentions and a lot of buggy stuff. I may check it out, Nero is one of my favorites, it may be all right. Guess I will wait to see what you say about it when you buy it.

I'm not setting one foot near that bloated piece of .. software. If the DVD features are anything like the VCD/SVCD features .. thanks but no thanks!

$39.99 for us upgraders. Not too bad. For some reason I feel compelled to always keep my Nero version current. Probably because it usually performs well where other burning apps bog down. I see they've include a program for backing up files. If it's any good and can backup to DVD-RW then that would be a nice tool for me.

I will wait to see what happens. I have never been too entusiastic on a "tool for meny jobs"

I'm assuming that "meny"was just a typo, Debbie and not a jibe at us "men"folk.

Yes Laurie, it has been a "typo" and not a jibe at US men folk. However it could well be. We just have to wait and see.

I am always enthousiastic about the 1 tool for many jobs- concept, but get disappointed when I try to use them. But then again, maybe the programmers at Ahead can make it work. They certainly have done an impressive job with previous products.

I'm with landrover with this one. Ahead is not Micro$oft, and they know what people want or need in products now. And for the price they are asking for...it might be for something special.

For a couple of years ago I dropped Easy CD and I am using Nero, now the latest 5.5.10.35.
For a month, or so ago I run 5.5.10.28 Short time-multiple upgrade. It works fine and it did when I burned Data-VCD or SVCD.
But I have been told that Nero not always sorts the DVD directories in right order.
I am newbie in DVD burning, so I am confused.
I also heard that Instant CD/DVD does a better job than Nero, but it is huge. About 150 MB installed.
Anybody tried Instant CD/DVD? Any opinions?

Haven't seen that problem and I haven't regretted changing over to NERO at all.
