  • Low-cost Parhelias?

In the German CT magazine there's a review of new low-cost versions of the Matrox Parhelia. Bus width has been halved (so has the price). Any comments?
Resistance is futile - Microborg will assimilate you.

that would be the P750 your all waiting on my review of.

So far in my testing it works a treat in MSP7. if you want to play games on it - it may not be the card for you.

The dual hardware overlays are nice though .

Doc can probably give you a better full run down on the DV side.

I use the P750 in Dual head + DVD Max mode and it's great.
Obviously its not targeted at the hard core gamer, believe me there are more applications out there where this new baby will shine.

I use it for video editing, there nothing like stretching Ulead MS 7.0 across two monitors and scrubing out to TV

The display quality is just as sharp and clear as the Parhelia, so if you are looking for cool triple head card, great quality output, the P750 is the best for video and graphics editors

      Cheers,
      Elie

I totally agree. The P-750 is a video editors dream, and if you use IEEE-1394 passthrough for previewing (as can be done in MSPro7) you can even go triplehead
