  • Converting a PAL DVD to NTSC?

I have a client here with a privatly authored DVD a friend from overseas sent him. It is not copyrighted, and it shows to be open for all regions.
The problem is that it is in PAL format, and he needs it in NTSC so he can watch it on his TV/DVD player.

I just installed a new DVD-R/RW (Pioneer DVR-AO5U), which came with Sonic MyDVD, ArcSoft Showbiz, Instawrite, and Roxio EZCD 5 basic.
The machine I installed this in also has a Pinnacle DC10plus, and it's native software.

Can I do what this guy wants with what I have on this machine, and if so, how?

I'd spend some time dinking with it, but my boss will not allow me the time to figure it out for myself...I should just magically know everything about this new hardware and software that I've never used before

Try here, section VI covers it. All of the SW in question is freeware or trial (TMPGEnc) and works pretty well. I haven't used it, but it looked pretty straight forward (as straight forward as you could hope for anyway).

      Thanks for the tip.
I've been away for a few days, but will try that when I get back to work next week.
Any other tips would be appreciated....
