  • DvDmax output on the DualHead, Need a little help

Ok i got a S-video cable and connected it to the one suppiled with the Matrox Card, then put hte scart in my T.V. Everything is working, get nice picture and sound, but theres one Annoying problem, it BLACK & WHITE

I've made sure the black & White option isn't ticked i've tried messing with that colour slider, and it doesn't do a thing, the contrast, brightness does, just not the colour slider.

I'm stumpped on what to do, couldn't seem to find anything in the help files, So any info on this problem would be a great help

    P.S Its the G400 MAX in Win98SE

    1. Check if you have selected NTSC-Output..

    2. Check you TV. It's possible that it doesn't support a true S-Video connection, but a RGB. A friend had the same problem until he used a cable with separated sync-cables..

Hi... this has been covered on these Forums for quite a number of times, so you could try searching... I do not remember all the possible reasons for B&W right now, but here are a few:

      1) Your TV is not configured for the S-signal through the SCART plug. Please check your TV manual

      2) Your TV simply does not support the S-signal through SCART. Again, check the manual, and if there is an S-video connector, please use that in stead. In the worst case your TV simply does not support the S-signal.

      3) You have selected NTSC as the output option in DVD max options, but you have a PAL TV. (Or vice versa)

      4) Your SCART adapter is missing the Colour pin

      5) The cable is not seated properly
