G400 TV Marvel problem with movies

Is this somethnig normal ? Every movie I try to watch with Media Player, no importance what ver is, under Win9x (2000 never tested) it lasts about 7 sec to open it, unless I got the tunner in the background. This pause at some point, - after 3 sec I think- , it's verry annonying, even the mouse can't be moved sometimes. Not to mention that with Adobe Premiere 5.0, it's impossible to edit anything, every click & move I do I have to wait 7-8 sec to see results....is this normal, or I got smth wrong ?

I have the same problem. It probably hangs together with some programs I run before, because just after restart everything seems to be allright again. No solution found yet.

Check under your options in Media player, I believe there is a buffer setting that you could play with I am not sure if that would help.

As for Premiere, besides the fact that it doesn't perform very well with the G400, you have to edit the prem50.ini file. Add the lines:

[Override]
NoDirectShow=1

[codec]
keepopen=dmb1

This should help to speed it up a little.
