  • 4 way audio/video switcher?

    Hi,
Can anyone recommend a 4 way audio/video switcher with both rca and s-video connectors? I need one input source that is switchable between the 4 outputs to send an a/v signal to different devices. Radio Shack has a device with 4 inputs and one output, but I need the opposite.
    Thanks,
    Riddek.

    Hi Riddek

I've got one of those 4-way radio-shack video switchers, and it works in reverse too. I use it to patch between my VCR and the 2 PCs, one containing a G200 Marvel and the other with a G400 Marvel. Amazingly, even with a 4 metre scart -> RCA adaptor running into the switchbox, the capture quality is indistinguishable from running RCA's directly from the VCR to the Marvel BOB.

I don't know how much the radio shack model is but this one is only $19.95 (from Amazon.com) and has the same features I think.

            Riddek, you're welcome. I love a result, especially a CHEAP one !

Hi Adrian, I haven't really been away - I check the forum every day although I don't get time to address everything. Yes, the site needs a major overhaul, and while I have time (if I force it a bit) to do this, I don't have enough time to do enough research/experimenting to make it a worthwhile excercise. However, I am currently investing in a major system upgrade so that I can follow the current trend in software compressed capture and hope to have something to report soon.

            Chris
