adis - could you please provide a revision history? I currently have version 3.0 installed, and don't want to go through the trouble of uninstalling / reinstalling if the improvements aren't important to me.

Also, did you get my MURC "private message" about the WISE install problem (you apparently must install to default/recommended directory or the installer gets confused). At least, this was my experience when I attempted to install version 3.0 to the following folder: L:\PF\Matrox Video Tools ... I installed to D:\Program Files\Matrox Video Tools and it worked just fine (D: is my system partition for XP). Perhaps this has been fixed in version 3.01?

One other thing - in MSN Messenger 6, when running the Audio/Video Tuning Wizard, I have the following 2 choice for Camera: 1) Matrox VidCap Driver and 2) WDM Video For Windows Capture Driver (Win32). When I select #1, I get a 'Capture' error msgbox with the message "A valid frame rate for NTSC video is from 1 to 30." When I select #2, I get a 'Camera Error' with the message "The camera you selected is not working properly, or may be in use by another program." I have a Sony Hi8 HanydyCam connected through the breakout box. I have similar problems in Windows Movie Maker, where it won't recognize the camera as a legitimate "capture device". I don't have these problems when the PowerDesk drivers & VTools aren't installed (i.e. when I'm using the native Windows XP "Miscrosoft" drivers for the G400-TV Marvel, I can use the camera Ok in Messenger. I've brought this up before over in the Video Editing forum on Matrox's site, and Vicken wasn't surprised that this was happening (I can't remember what he said the problem was).

Anyway, thanks again for working on these VTools. The benefits (having VTools at all in Windows XP!) far outweigh the problems mentioned above, and besides, I think it's the PowerDesk drivers causing this, not necessarily the VTools.

      Hi

Bad capture driver is reason for errors in Messenger, Windows Movie Maker, NetMeeting,...

This is why Matrox stopped 2K/XP support... problems with RRG/Marvel Zoran chip.

Installation destination folder - same thing in 3.01 version.
It's recommended to install to default folder.

In this thread you can read what's new in 3.01 version...

I hope you understand this cause my english isn't perfect...
