  • Nice and easy: Firewire capture using Premiere and RT.X10... bang!

    Hi all,

You must have written answers to this millions of times, but I've not got the answer...

Video camera is hooked up to the FireWire port of the RT.X10 and Premiere is being used to do a batch capture - I figure that this is the best way to import my home videos (in one hit, rather than scene by scene).

Capture comes in fine - avi seems to be saved to disk (can replay it using Media Player okay), but Premiere goes pop when it's finished the capture...

    Help, please...

    Thanks,

    Taliska

Ok you to make sure you have the following settings correctly...

1-You load the Matrox Presets when running Premiere

2-Try the Premiere capture, and not batch capture

3-Make sure you are capturing using the Matrox codec and not Premieres.

    Regards,
    Elie
