G200 hangs when capturing or playback MJPEG

Is W2K and win98 on seperate drives or partitions as dual boot?

If so it might be RMA time. The w2k Marvel drivers are beta so they don't tell you anything but w98 has solid drivers.

So if you've re-installed win98 and the Marvel drives and tools and still have the problem I'd suspect a hardware problem.

IF w2k and w98 are installed on the same partition (not recommended in the w2k readme1st file!) then you could be having one of the interactions they warn about and a reformat would be needed to have a solid case that its a hardware problem.

G200 hangs when capturing or playback MJPEG

Last night my PC started to behave badly.

I have a g200 marvel and video capture and playback has been fine.. until now.
When I try to capture (open PCVCR and select line) or playback a previously captured avi (which will use the hardware to decode), my PC hard hangs.
Win 2000, Win98 both the same. Reinstalled win98 fresh and added just video tools.
Still hangs.

Any ideas anyone ... please

I have however fixed the problem.
My motherboard bios plug and play had decided that my scsi card IRQ needed to be changed to be the same as my display adapter...
once I fought with the PNP stuff everything seems a bit more stable.
